About The Artist

Karine Gélinas, a French Canadian artist born in Québec, has woven her creative journey across the picturesque landscapes of Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she has spent the majority of her life, and briefly in the beautiful British Columbia. Unveiling her artistic flair from a young age, she began with drawing classes, setting the stage for a lifelong exploration of creativity.

Venturing into makeup artistry and body painting, Karine collaborated with professional photographers and models, establishing herself as a visionary artist.

In 2012, she discovered her passion for painting on canvas, prompting her to seek mentorship from a local artist and immerse herself in a rigorous 12-month fine art program at the esteemed Milan Art Institute.

 Karine's muse lies in the profound journey of self-discovery and the pursuit of destiny. Her unwavering passion and desire to create beautiful and meaningful art are the driving forces behind each stroke of her brush. As she aptly puts it:
"Each painting is a liberating and magical experience. While I paint, time stands still, allowing me to infuse intention and authenticity into each piece".

Her creative process is a modern exploration of mixed media techniques, using premium-quality products such as pastels, inks, spray paint, acrylics, markers, and concluding with the rich texture of oil paint.

Currently, Karine thrives as a professional artist in her home studio. Her future plans involve intertwining her love for travel with her passion for creating art. Europe beckons, and as she explores its landscapes, Karine envisions creating artwork that continues to inspire and resonate with others on their own unique journeys of self-discovery.
